It’s funny how I hit the ground running with the #chasethebird challenge. And then I quickly burned out and have slightly become a slug. I haven’t worked out or gone for a run since the Nippy Hippie last Saturday. I think a big part of it is that I’ve been working three week nights plus Sundays at job #2 since having November 1st off. 20ish hours of part time work on top of 40 hours full time have kicked my ass. Plus I decided that 5 days ago I was going to kick soda completely and no longer drink it while at job #1.
I woke up this morning with a killer headache and have been a teeny bit irritable the past couple of days. Caffeine withdrawal symptoms, I’m sure. I stayed home from job #1 and slept until after noon. I just kind of lounged around for a while and then crawled back into bed at 2:00 pm. I finally got up and got ready for job #2 at 4:00 pm. I’m a bit frustrated with myself as I stopped and picked up a couple 20 oz bottles of soda before work. I have about half of the second bottle left. The good news…my head ache is gone and I don’t feel like a zombie any more. The bad news…I am back starting over with kicking my soda habit.
